Day 73
I can’t say I have been watching much of anything. In a few weeks I will start my classes for Japanese again. I realized that I really miss speaking the language and I will do Spring and Summer courses.
I still did not get a chance to discuss what happened during the busy week at my job which is called “Market Week.” So basically, I had some great discussions about TV and found out what side of the fence some of my co-workers are on about the whole experiment.
Some of the girls from the LA office found out about my experiment when the three of us all jumped in a taxi to go to dinner at Ono at the Hotel Gansevoort downtown. There was a TV in tha backseat of the taxi and as soon as I got in I screamed, “Turn it off!” They thought I was nuts until I told them about my blog, and my little experiment.
One girl was totally for it, calling TV a time waster and explaining how much time people waste vegging out in front of the TV. The other girl was totally opposite. She has HD -TV, and loves the Cooking Channel! Although she was for TV, I noticed that she was only for certain programs and very selective with her programming.
Later that night when the rest of our party arrived at the table, and we had ordered our Beef tartar accompanied with raw quail egg. I was asked about, who did I think won Project Runway. I promptly replied Christian! To me it was a no brain-er, but only because I had been watching every episode on www.youtube.com for weeks. I heard the next day that Christian did win, but I still did not see the last episode, I think I will save it for a quiet night when me and my sister are home with some snacks.
