Day 3
I finally got my blog up. Have lots to share about my no TV adventure. I cannot believe it has only been three days. It feels like a week.
So I realized that waking up and turning on the TV was part of my routine, and I didn’t even know it.As always we want things that we can’t have. I could care less what Regis and Kelly are up to, but since I am doing the no TV thing, of course I am dying to know. My sister is having the time of her life laughing, checking out what is on The View and tells me about some breaking news. Apparently the subway tracks are frozen. I adhere to my no TV rules and check the Internet for word of what is going on with the MTA. No info, so to me, it did not happen. My little experiment is not to torture or confine myself. I honestly want know if I would be “missing” anything relevant. I guess frozen train tracks would be pertinent news, but at 10 am, I should be at work already anyway. Since I was still in my PJs and I am not a 9-5er, or a 10-anything-er, I guess I missed nothing.
I managed to sleep off the dreary TV wanting hours and wake up late afternoon to watch Men in Black 1 and 2 on http://www.youtube.com. Today was easy, my sister was home. Tomorrow should be ok too, I will be in the LES all day with friends. The challenge comes over the weekend when it is too cold to go out and you find yourself in the house for hours!
